Girlfriends are the sisters you get to choose, and there is no greater friend than that!

My best friend moved away when we were only six, but we stayed in touch by writing each other letters, and we always signed them “LYLAS” for “Love You Like a Sister.” She is still one of my dear friends, and I am grateful for the connection we fostered over the years by sharing our experiences and lives with each other. It is important to have friends who are like sisters, and that is why so many women join a sorority.

Recruitment is all about connection and communication. To find that connection, it is important to communicate your true self so you can identify the sorority with whom you connect best. Brené Brown, one of my favorite authors, explains it best:

“True belonging is the spiritual practice of believing in and belonging to yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone in the wilderness. True belonging doesn’t require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are.”

Human connection is really what life is all about, and Sorority Recruitment is one way to find a group with whom you belong. It takes courage and vulnerability to be true to yourself, but being authentic is also the only way to find true belonging.

We are here to help you understand the Recruitment process, learn best practices, and enter this experience with your best foot forward. We will teach you the ropes, encourage you to shine, and mentor you along the way. We cannot get you into a sorority, but we can help prepare you so that you have the best chance of finding your home away from home!
